Dear Colleagues,

Please consider for yourself or share with your network:

As you know, Boston Public Schools is one of the most diverse school districts in the country and increasing workforce diversity is one of the top priorities for the district. You are an incredibly important part of that work, and so we wanted to share the opening of the application for the 2017 BPS Teaching Fellowship with you first.

The BPS Teaching Fellowship is an accelerated pathway to teaching in Boston Public Schools designed to increase the number of top English as a Second Language and Moderate Disabilities teachers in the district who reflect the diversity of our students. Fellows accepted into the program receive free MTEL preparation and individualized hiring support before participating in an innovative, practice-based training program during summer that prepares you for full-time teaching positions for school year 2017-2018. Fellows who successfully complete summer training spend a year developing foundational teaching techniques in an actual BPS classroom, with personalized training and expert coaches to guide you along the way.

We are currently recruiting applicants for the 2017 Cohort of the BPS Teaching Fellowship, beginning in June 2017. As one of the skilled professionals currently working in Boston Public Schools, you already know what it takes to support our students:

  • If you are interested in becoming a Fellow, you can click here to read more about the Fellowship and begin your application,
  • If you are interested in referring a potential Fellow, please share their contact information with us by filling out this form.

Thank you for all that you do.

Best,

Ceronne

This is for a once in a lifetime PD to Cuba this February!!! It is pricey but it is with a fabulous agency and since Cuba is in demand right now ticket prices are high. However participants can receive 3-credits!

Thanks,
